How it Works

The China Copywriter creates culturally attuned copy that gets results — content built to move your specific audience, not just fill a page. Every project gets a firm, flat price quote upfront, so you know exactly what you're paying before we start. No surprises, no counting words or minutes. If we're a good fit long-term, a retainer is worth discussing, too.

Here's how it works: we'll talk through your goals, scope, and timeline, and I'll follow up with a detailed proposal and exact project pricing. Each project includes a structured process that ensures your investment delivers results:

1. Discovery

You brief me about your business challenge or need, and tell me about your product, audience, goals, and internal requirements.

2. Letter of Agreement

I prepare and send you a formal Letter of Agreement, outlining the scope of our project, describing what I will do for you.

I detail what I will write, when I will deliver each component, and what my professional fees and terms are.

3. Approval

You approve and sign the Letter of Agreement.

You return it with your retainer (usually 50% of the total project fee).

4. Video Conference Call

Upon receiving your 50% retainer, we hop on a video conference call.

ask lots of questions about your company, products and services, unique selling proposition, clients, prospects and competitorsmarketplace challenge, call to action and more.

5. Research

You supply any background information that I need, such as your marketing plan, buyer personas, buyer journey, sales cycle, product literature and market research.

I review your website, source materials, current and past collateral, technical information, market context, and relevant competitors, and discuss the results with you.

6. Strategy Development

We align on the message, angle, and purpose of the piece before writing begins.

7. Content Creation & Drafts

I write copy that is technically accurate, clear, and aligned with your goals.

translate your features into compelling, customer-focused benefits and send you my first draft.

8. Revisions

You receive up to three rounds of copy revisions within 30 days of first draft delivery.

Revisions required by your legal department do not count toward the three.

9. Final Delivery

I send you the final draft, deliver clean copy ready for design, sales, or marketing use.

follow up by phone to make sure you are satisfied.

10. Results

You start having more sales conversations with qualified leads. You celebrate.

I send you my final invoice. You pay. I celebrate.

11. Next Steps

We’ll move forward to planning our next project or ...

We can discuss work on retainer.
